The AAS in Hospitality Management and Tourism provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to serve in entry positions in the hospitality industry—the second largest industry in the Washington metropolitan area. The program develops an understanding of planning, organizing, leading and control issues in hospitality service organizations, including hotels and restaurants. Students are also exposed to the legal and marketing aspects of hospitality services organization.
For whom is the program designed?
The program is designed for three groups of students:
- Students who want to start their careers in the hospitality industry
- Students who are already employed in a hospitality service organization but want to add to their knowledge and skills
- Students who are interested in making a career change
How long will it take to complete the program?
A full-time student can complete these requirements in two years or less.
