Graphic Communications Technology - AAS

Today's graphic communication industry requires a full range of qualified people with skills that include both strong art and design backgrounds, as well as those who are very well grounded in technology. Today's workers need to be able to design publications for print, preflight and output files, operate networks, write scripts, and design both web based and multimedia CD's productions.

The Graphic Communications program is designed to provide students with an educational experience which focuses heavily on design and digital pre-press, with additional experiences in both press and post press production. The curriculum gives majors the opportunity to experience a full range of technical experiences from print, to multimedia and photography, to management, procurement and entrepreneurship. The emphasis is on technology and preparing students for the world of work.

In addition to the AAS and BS degree options, the program offers interested students a certificate in Desktop Publishing. The four year BS curriculum enables students the opportunity to concentrate their education with a number of educational options which include management, procurement, multimedia, computer IT and photography.
